Privacy
Short version. We collect what we need to quote your party and turn up at the right house on the right day, we keep it to ourselves, and if you want it gone you only have to ask.
This page covers Bounce & Bloom Inflatables, a small family run hire business based at Mount Nathan in Queensland, and the website at bounceandbloominflatables.com.au. When it says we or us, that is us. When it says you, that is anyone who fills in the enquiry form, rings us, messages us on Instagram or books a hire.
We are a small Australian business and we handle your information the way the Australian Privacy Principles set out, because that is the sensible standard, not because a form told us to.
Only the things we need to answer you and deliver a castle. In practice that is:
We do not ask for and do not want your date of birth, your licence, your Medicare details or anything similar. We do not store card numbers. Payments are made by bank transfer or through a payment provider, and the card details never sit with us.
If you sign the hire waiver on the day, that paper or digital form is held as part of the booking record. It is described on our hire terms page.
That is the whole list. We are not building a marketing database out of your birthday party.
Not to anybody, at any price, ever. We also do not swap it, rent it or hand it to other hire companies. The only people who see your details are the ones who need to in order for your booking to happen:
Some of those providers store data on servers outside Australia, which is normal for cloud software. We pick providers that are widely used and reputable, but we cannot control their own systems, so if that matters to you please ring us and book over the phone instead.
The main site does not run advertising cookies. Some of our landing pages, the ones we send paid traffic to, carry the Meta pixel so we can tell whether an advertisement actually produced an enquiry. That pixel sets cookies in your browser and reports back to Meta.
If you would rather not be measured, browser settings and tracking protection will block it, and nothing on our site breaks when you do. You can also manage what Meta does with advertising data inside your own Facebook or Instagram settings.
The enquiry form stores your answers in your own browser while you fill it in so you do not lose your place. That stays on your device.
Enquiries that never turn into a booking are kept while the date is still live and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you come back to us next year, and are then deleted.
Booking records, invoices and signed waivers are kept longer, because tax and insurance records have to be. We keep those for at least five years, which is what Australian tax record keeping requires, and then delete them.
Photos of your setup are covered separately below.
We often photograph a setup before your guests arrive, because a white castle in a real backyard is the only honest way to show what we do. Those photos are of the styling, not of your family.
We will not post a photograph with your children in it unless you have told us we can, and we never publish your address. If a photo of your event is already up and you want it taken down, message us and it comes down. No discussion, no reason needed.
Accounts we use are protected by strong passwords and two factor login where the provider offers it. Paper waivers are kept out of public view. We are a small operation and we are honest about the limits of that, so we hold as little as we can get away with in the first place.
If something did go wrong and your information was exposed in a way likely to cause you harm, we would tell you directly and promptly.
You can ask us at any time to:
Email bounceandbloominflatables@gmail.com or ring 0452 464 454 and say what you want done. We aim to come back to you within a few days and to have it sorted inside thirty days. There is no charge for asking.
If you are not happy with how we handle it, you can take the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au. We would much rather you gave us the chance to fix it first.
If we start using a new tool or change how something works, we will update this page and change the date below. We will not quietly broaden what we do with your details and hope nobody notices.
